SMW – RCA with Rina, SIT

We are pleased to announce a Research Collaboration Agreement under the Future Ship and Systems Designs (FSSD) Program, bringing together VC Power Global, RINA, and Singapore Institute of Technology
This collaboration focuses on advancing AI-driven battery technologies for maritime applications, supporting the safe and scalable adoption of electrified vessels.
As part of this initiative:
VC Power and SIT will lead the development of AI-based Battery State of Health (SOH) and Remaining Useful Life (RUL) prediction models, enabling smarter energy management, and optimized lifecycle performance
RINA will provide guidance on regulatory and classification frameworks, ensuring that AI-driven battery solutions are aligned with safety standards and class requirements

By combining strengths across industry, classification, and academia, this collaboration aims to bridge the gap between advanced AI research and real-world maritime deployment,
Together, we are driving the future of intelligent, safe, and sustainable maritime electrification.
